Funeral services for Sherry McCullough Dollar, 59, of Piedmont were Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at noon at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Fort Payne.
The family received friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Mrs. Dollar passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at her home.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Gene Dollar; one son, Mike Dollar of Englis, Fla.; one grandson, Skyler Dollar (Chastity) of Piedmont; three sisters, Melody Whaley, Lisa Brown, and Caroline Sentell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers were Blaze McDowell, Will McDowell, Gary Brown, Sam Grogan, Dan Lumpkin, and James Sanford. Honorary Pallbearer were Dan Smith.
Mrs. Dollar was raised in Jamestown, she was a graduate of Gaylesville High School, and a member of Salem Baptist Church. She obtained her Nursing Degree from Jacksonville State University and worked as a Registered Nurse for 36 years.
Mrs. Dollar enjoyed gardening, being around children, serving people and serving the Lord. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paulette McCullough; and brother, Bobby Langston. www.thompsonfuneralhomepiedmont.com
