Mary Grace Cobb Speed, age 88, of the Warwoman Community, went to her heavenly home Sept. 30, 2022.

Mary Grace was the daughter of the late John B. Cobb and the late Daisy Marcengill Cobb and was born on April 25, 1934. She loved to garden and to fish, and was a person who loved the outdoors. She was always a hard worker and was always keeping busy.

Mary Grace was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Pick Speed; two sons, Donny Ray Speed, James Speed; five brothers, John Henry Cobb, Paul Raymond Cobb, Bill Cobb, Furman D. Cobb; two sisters, Louise Teague, Ruth Cobb; one daughter in law Deborah Shook Speed.

She is survived by four children, Debbie Page (Raymond), Judy OShields (Jeff), Johnny Speed, Mike Speed; one daughter in law Gail Speed; eleven grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.

The family received friends on Sunday Oct. 2, 2022, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Warwoman Rd. from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Warwoman Rd. with Rev. Raymond Page officiating.

The family would like to thank Tugalo Home Health, Amedysis Hospice, Cathy Thompson, Jennifer Marcellino, Melissa White and co-workers for the care that they provided for Mrs. Speed.
