Joel Alton Wise passed away at home on June 14, 2022. He was born in Terrell County on May 21, 1942, to Joe Parks and Veta Watson Wise.
He was employed as Internal Auditor for First National Bank in Gainesville for over 30 years. After moving to Dillard, he owned a CPA practice in Clayton. Joel was a long-time member of the Lake Lanier Rowing Club in Gainesville.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kitty; three daughters; a brother and sister-in-law; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.
