Edith Blanche Sis Dixon, 91, of Clayton, Ga., passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.

She was born on Dec. 8, 1930, in Rabun County to the late Mick and Laura Coleman. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Dixon who passed away in 2000.

She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Sis worked for Clayburn Manufacturing also known as the Shirt Factory for over 50 years. She enjoyed volunteering at Sharing and Caring and spending time with her grandsons and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Dixon (Rita) of Clayton, Ga., and Mike Dixon (Liz) of Tiger, Ga.; four grandchildren, Jesse Dixon, Chad Dixon (Dena), Jordan Dixon (Samantha) and Tirvis Dixon (Marla); four great-grandchildren, Coleman, Hallie, Cord and Harper; two sisters-in-law, Ruth and Betty Coleman, one brother-in-law Russell Dixon, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, George, Tommy and Elcana Coleman.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Steve York officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rabun Memory Park. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
