She was born July 7, 1953 in Clayton and was the daughter of the late Earl W. Dotson and Melba Vinson Dotson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in law, Joyce and Tom Dotson and Linda “Butchie” and Bill Crunkleton.
Judy is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 39 years, James Carroll Moore, of the home; one son, Colby Moore and his wife, Carrie of Banks County; one daughter, Chelsey Moore of Banks County; one brother, Jimmy Angel of Asheville, North Carolina; and one sister, Kathy Dotson Seabolt and husband, Kerry of Habersham County. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Jacob Bolling and Jonathan Moore, and many nieces and nephews.
Judy lived in Alto for 15 years, was employed as an administrative secretary at Lee Arrendale State Prison, and was a member of Lakemont Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, caregiver and friend.
The family received friends at Beck Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, and funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2014, at Lakemont Baptist Church with Chaplain Cynseria Jenkins officiating. Burial followed in Wiley Cemetery.
