Mary Louise Lyons Allred, 81, of Cannonwood Village, Tiger, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Habersham Medical Center.

She was born March 27, 1932, in Habersham County to the late Henry Gus Lyons and Mary Gunn Lyons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Elon Nathaniel “EJ” Allred Jr.; a son, David Allred; and a twin sister, Anne Kroeger.

Mrs. Allred is survived by: her son, Tony Allred and wife Teri of Dillard; three grandchildren, Anthony Allred, Ryan Allred and Chad Allred; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley Allred, Thomas Allred, Fletcher Allred and James Allred.

She was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid sewer, painter and reader.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the sanctuary of Clayton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charlie Green officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Mary Allred to Clayton First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 703, Clayton, GA 30525.
