Daniel Lanier Lamberth was born May 12, 1949, in Dooly County. He departed this life for a better one Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014. Daniel, we always called him Danny, was the son of Grady Lamberth and Pearl (Kitchens) Lamberth, and they both preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Lamberth, his brother-in-law, Lawrence “Barto” Taylor and many very precious aunts and uncles and cousins. What a homecoming he had with all those sweet and precious family members who have gone on before!

He is survived by: his sister, Beatrice (Lamberth) Taylor; his nephews and nieces, Lawrence “Lonnie” Taylor Jr. and Kenneth Taylor and Nancy Taylor and Davina Taylor, all of Wiley; two very special cousins, Wanda Brand of Vidalia and Linda Bray of Americus; and many cousins, friends and neighbors, who are too numerous to name.

Danny was a man of down home humor and a gentle sprit. He could build things he needed to build and repair whatever broke down. He was good to help a neighbor and was kind and generous. He fed birds and took in stray animals and cared about the world around him.

He was also a man of faith. He believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and read the scriptures daily. He will be missed by those family and friends who are still alive, and we know we will see him again soon when the Lord returns.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday in the Hunter Funeral Home chapel with Lloyd Hunter officiating. Cremation will follow.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Saturday. Family members are at their respective residences.

Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. An online guestbook is available at
