‘Shelby’ Gerald Lioce

“Shelby” Gerald Lioce, 52, of Worcester, Mass., died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after being stricken ill.

Jerry was born in Queens, N.Y., and raised in Bradenton, Fla., where he graduated from the Bay Shore High School Class of 1978. Jerry enjoyed his life long career as a truck driver and was currently employed with E.H. Perkins Company in Hudson. Throughout his travels, Jerry became known to many friends as “Mr. Walmart” for his extensive knowledge of store locations throughout the continental United States. He enjoyed time spent riding his motorcycle and never missed a chance to get to the beach. Jerry loved movies and was proud to always add to his most impressive DVD collection. He cherished time spent with family and will be forever remembered and dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

He is survived by: his beloved wife, Kathleen (Stott) Lioce; her children, Dennis J. Young and Erin E. Young of Framingham, Mass.; his children, Justin Lioce and Michelle Lioce of Wellsville, N.Y.; his mother, Hazel Lioce of Sarasota, Fla.; his father, Natale “Chubby” Lioce and wife Constance of Clayton; brothers, Daniel Lioce and wife Karen of Lakewood Ranch, Fla., and Paul Lioce and wife Myra of Bradenton; stepsisters, Maureen Ryan of Monticello and Patricia Barrett of Bradenton; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many dear friends.

Calling hours were held Wednesday at the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home in Clinton, Mass. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. An online guestbook is available at www.philbincomeaufh.com.
