Michele Angela Gaglio, 41, of Wiley, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 2, 2013.

She was born in Bronx, N.Y., to Paul James Gaglio, who preceded her in death, and Krystyna Dziedzic Gaglio.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by Damon Gregory of Wiley, her son, Lennon, and brother, Paul Gaglio of Lakemont. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends, both near and far.

Michele was an undergrad and also graduated with a master’s degree in theater from Piedmont College. She was a ray of sunshine and lit up a room whenever she walked in. Michele was a kind and caring person who was loved by all.

Michele’s mother, Mama G, wrote, “You were the best daughter a mother could ever ask for. You were my ‘Mother’, my best friend, my soul-mate, and my teacher (who taught me how to speak English). You loved me and you loved your father. You loved your brother, Paul; your nephew, Salvatore; your nieces Maggie and Lily. You truly loved Damon, your future husband, to no fault.

“You loved the ones that hurt you. Most of all, you did everything you possibly could to have this beautiful baby boy, Lennon. I will love you forever. Your Mother.”

Michele’s beloved Damon wrote, “Michele, I miss you beyond belief! If I could have given my life for yours I would have. I will love you forever. You were such a good person. Everyone loved you Michele – Sugar Plum. I miss having you to keep my hopes and dreams alive when I am down. I love you Michele, and I will miss you forever.”

Her loving brother Paul wrote, “As your brother, Godfather, and Uncle, I will always remember the relationship we had. Sometimes good and other times we would disagree and fight like all brothers and sisters. You were my only sister and losing you will be difficult. However, by giving me and everyone else such a beautiful boy will make it easier to never forget you. Your determination to have the child, despite all of your medical problems, let’s me know you had a plan and I will always be there for Lennon. So in the end, I will always see you and be with you when I am with Lennon.”

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Rabun Arena, 100 E. Boggs Mountain Road, Tiger, GA 30576.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for Michele’s son, Lennon, has been set up at Rabun County Bank.

Beck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. An online guestbook is available at http://www.beckfuneralhome.com.
