Victor Lafayette Wilborn, 67,of Tallulah Falls, was called home to heaven on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, after a brief illness.

He was a Rabun County native and longtime resident. He was born May 7,1945, to Ray Wilborn and Otta Jenkins Wilborn. He was a carpenter by trade and loved the outdoors. He was a caring loving man who was always there to help a friend. He enjoyed his life and family and will greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two granddaughters.

Survivors include: two daughters, Rachel Wilborn Greene of South Carolina and Dawn Erin Wilborn of Rabun Gap; five grandsons, Mitchell Padgett, Matthew Padgett, Conner Greene, Ryan Padgett and Doyle Greene; two sisters, Pansy Wilborn Bingham and Betty Gaye Wilborn Lakey; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held April 13 at Newman’s Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs. Clay Patton and Danny Cannon officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
