Robert A. Henson, 61, of Otto, N.C., passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013.

He was born in Lodi, Ohio, to the late James J. Henson and Jewel Conner Henson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Rebecca Henson, and a stepson, Allen Hafer Henson. Bob was an active member of Coweeta Baptist Church, where he served as usher. He also was an avid model railroader; volunteer sheriff’s deputy in Medina, Ohio, and was a volunteer fireman in West Salem, Ohio. He worked as a cashier at Walmart for 11 years.

He is survived by: his wife of 34 years, Bonnie Nichols Henson; a daughter, Alice Klose and husband Michael of Denison, Texas; two grandsons, Gage Klose and Preston Klose; and godchild grandson, Chase Meese.

A memorial service was held Tuesday at Coweeta Baptist Church with the Rev. Davis Hooper officiating.
