Frank Gordon Johnson

Frank Gordon Johnson, 78, of Clayton, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012.

He was born in Gadsden, Ala., to Grady and Verna Sikes Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Johnson, and a sister, Mary Johnson Boggs.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Dotty Ann Shaw Johnson of Clayton; a son, Frank Gordon Johnson Jr of Clayton; a daughter, Mendy Meyer and husband Warren of Douglasville; a sister, Mardell Riley of Clayton; a grandchild, Timber Gaddis; and two great-grandchildren, Xander Gaddis and Zach Gaddis.

Frank was a retired firefighter having worked for the city of Hialeah, Fla., Fire Department. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a Shriner in the Blue Lodge.

A memorial service was held Monday at the Beck Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Turpen officiating.

Memorial donations in Frank Johnson’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 855 Abutment Road,suite 6, Dalton, GA 30721.
