Janice Butler Pooley, 60, of Clayton, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, in Atlanta.

She was born Jan. 21, 1952, in Detroit to the late Robert C. Butler and Jeanete Webster Butler. She was a homemaker and was of the Lutheran faith. She had a relationship with the American Cancer Society.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bonnie Quinn.

Survivors include: her husband, Lewis Stacy Pooley of Clayton; and a daughter, Jessica Lynn Pooley of Clayton.

Her body has been cremated. A memorial service was held Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home with officiating by the Rev. Larry Cannon and layman Lloyd Hunter.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Emory Transplant Center, 1365 Clifton Road N.E., suite B 6403, Atlanta, GA 30322.
