Geraldine Papanti Knepp, 68, of Clayton, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Mountain Lakes Medical Center.

She was born July 13, 1944, to Arnold Dewey Papanti Jr. and Madeline Ruth Cague Papanti in Hartford, Conn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Schafer.

She is survived by: a son, Mike Knepp and wife Rita of Franklin, N.C.; a daughter, Lisa Worley and husband Wren Worley of Lakemont; a brother, John Papanti of Sarasota, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Leah Worley, Hannah Worley, Andrew Worley, Jadon Knepp, Keegan Knepp and Ian Knepp.

Mrs. Knepp was a partner in L&G Realty and was a member of Clayton First United Methodist Church. She loved her family dearly, and thought the world of her dog, Spot. She enjoyed life and loved being with people, which was very evident by her personable and outgoing personality.

Funeral services were held Monday at Beck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wren Worley officiating. Burial followed at Rabun Memory Park.

Memorial donations in Geraldine Knepp’s memory may be made to Clayton United Methodist Church R.A.P. Fund, 71 S. Main St., Clayton, GA 30525.
