Born in Stockport, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clifton and Thrya Jones Blind. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his first wife, Lelia Mae Wise Blind; his second wife, Lavonia Slagle Blind; a son, Stanley James Blind; two brothers, Alva and Terry; and a great-granddaughter, Katie. Stanley was a member of Tellico Baptist Church. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and ginseng hunting.
He is survived by: four children, Stormie Thayer and Windy Veneziale, both of Tampa, Fla., Tonya McCoy of Tiger and Christian Blind of Franklin; two sisters, Gloria Halter and Sandra Niece, both of Ohio; a brother, Alan Blind of Colorado; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
