Samuel Lewis Coover Jr., 69, of Rabun Gap, died Sunday night, Oct. 8, 2012, at his home.

He was born May 28,1943, in Loraine, Ohio, to the late Samuel Lewis Coover Sr. and Jean Coover. He was a carpenter and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He attended a Baptist church.

He is survived by a son and two daughters, as well as special friends and caregivers, Ron and Annette Baumes of Rabun Gap.

His body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. His family and caregivers ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hunter Funeral Home, P.O. Box 653, Clayton, GA 30525 to aid in payment of funeral expenses.
