Funeral services for Willie Melissa McCall Dixon, 88, of Clarkesville, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robin Martin and the Rev. John Gipson officiating. Burial followed in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Dixon died Aug. 31, 2012.

Born Aug. 3, 1924, in Rabun County, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Amy Martin McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Estelle McCall and Morene McCall; brothers, Lamar McCall, Clarence McCall and Rabun McCall; and grandchildren, Richard Worley and Ryan Worley.

Mrs. Dixon owned and operated her own hair salon. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Dixon of Clarkesville; daughter, Carlene Worley of Tiger; sister, Lois Demore of Turnerville; grandchildren, Randy Worley (Tracey), Rowanda Burrell (Scott), and Rodney Worley (Jennifer), as well as great-grandchildren, Tyler Worley, Emma Worley and Grace Worley.
