Thomas ‘T.B.’ Goss

Funeral services for Thomas “T.B.” Goss, 86, of Clarkesville, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, from the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Goss and the Rev. Austin Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Goss died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at his residence following an extended illness.

Born Sept. 26, 1925, in Habersham County, he was a son of the late Burns and Lila Bell Goss. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, C.T. Goss.

Mr. Goss was a very hard working person and enjoyed farming all of his life. He always enjoyed traveling around to hear good gospel singing and most of all spending time with his family. Mr. Goss was of the Baptist faith and attended Joy Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Ann Goss of Clarkesville; sons and daughter-in-laws, Bruce and Ann Goss, the Rev. Tony and Delores Goss, all of Clarkesville; daughters and son-in-laws, Janie and William Arrendale, Martha and Marvin Brock, and daughter, Maria Becker, all of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, J.T. and Essie Goss of Clarkesville; brother, S.T. Goss Sr. of Hiawassee, formerly of Clarkesville; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today, Sept. 5.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Joy Baptist Church, P.O. Box 183, Lakemont, GA 30552.
