Loyd ‘June’ Junior Jones

Loyd “June” Junior Jones, 79, of Demorest, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Habersham Medical Center.

He was born in Rabun County to the late Ed and Mary Brock Jones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Teresa Jones; and four brothers, Ansel Jones, Lawrence Jones, Cart Jones and Lewis Jones.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Norma Barnell Kendall Jones of Demorest; two sons, Scott Jones and wife April of Clayton and Chris Jones of Dahlonega; a daughter, Jeanne Pudelski and husband James of Demorest; a sister, Susie Phillips of Lakemont; and his grandchildren, Kendall Jones, Sutton Jones, Allana Jones, Terrina Jones and Anthony Pudelski.

He was a carpenter with Dent Thompson Construction Company and enjoyed being a part of Foxfire, where the children had written about him.

Funeral services were held Dec. 24 at Flat Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
