Phyllis J. Burkey of Oklahoma City passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, after a lengthy illness.

She is survived by: her son, Michael Burkey and wife Mary of Austin, Texas; her daughter, Kathy Meyers and husband Neil of Atlanta; and beloved grandson, Kevin Meyers, 13, of Atlanta.

Phyllis was a devoted wife and mother, a doting grandmother, and a kind and loving friend to all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday at St. Ann’s Nursing Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorials be made to the “We Gather Together” building campaign for St. Helena Catholic Church, P.O. Box 534, Clayton, GA 30525.

Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors, Oklahoma City, was in charge of arrangements.
