Willie Melissa McCall Dixon, 88, of Clarkesville, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012.

She was born Aug. 3, 1924, in Rabun County to the late Harley and Amy Martin McCall. Mrs. Dixon owned and operated her own hair salon. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, sisters Estelle McCall and Morene McCall, brothers Lamar McCall, Clarence McCall and Rabun McCall and grandchildren Richard Worley and Ryan Worley preceded Mrs. Dixon in death.

Survivors include: her husband, Frank Dixon of Clarkesville; a daughter, Carlene Worley of Tiger; his sister, Lois Demore of Turnerville; three grandchildren, Randy Worley (Tracey), Rowanda Burrell (Scott) and Rodney Worley (Jennifer); and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Worley, Emma Worley and Grace Worley.

Funeral services were held Monday at Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville with the Revs. Robin Martin and John Gipson officiating. Burial followed at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
