William ‘Stanley’ Tyler

William “Stanley” Tyler, 46, of Clarkesville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at his residence after an lengthy illness.

He was born in Rabun County to William Stephen and Peggy Joan Marsengill Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, including a very special grandmother, Gennie Bell Tyler.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by: his loving wife, Wanda Daphne Crow Tyler of Clarkesville; a son, Caleb Tyler and wife Jennifer of Clarkesville; two daughters, Natasha Tyler of Dillard and Gracie Tyler of Clarkesville; two stepsons, Jordan Wade and wife Kayla of Mount Airy and Joseph Mealor of Hollywood; a brother, Steve Tyler and wife Tracy of Wiley; two sisters, Robin Taylor and husband Greg of Tiger and Stephanie Quilliams and husband Roy of Clayton; and four grandchildren, Clayton Tyler, Dane and Glori Tyler and Jayden Wade.

Stanley was a member of the Rabun County High School class of 1984 and was employed by the Habersham County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed hunting, singing and picking, old cars and was very talented at drawing. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Beck Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Hank Conner and Roy Conner officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery.
