He was born May 18, 1955, in Baltimore to the late Okie V. Fisher and Viola Plaster Fisher. He was a dry wall hanger and finisher in the construction industry. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Vincent Fisher Jr.
Survivors include: his wife, Donnetta Wilson Fisher of Walhalla; a son, Roy Alan Fisher of Walhalla; two daughters, Gina Fisher of Clayton and Shelia Fisher of Long Creek, S.C.; his stepfather, James Daugherty of Clayton; two brothers, Robert Larry Lodge of Amarillo, Texas, and James Daniel Daugherty of Clayton; four sisters, Marlene Thomas of Clayton, Diane Harmon of Lakemont, Vera Turpin of Hiawassee and Kathy Fisher of Walhalla; eight grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The body has been cremated, and a memorial service was held Tuesday at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, with officiating by the Rev. Thomas Burrell.
