He was born July 25, 1923, in Cohutto to Arthur and Evie Watts Plott. He lived the greater part of his life in Rabun County. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother, Doyle Plott; and a sister, Christine Plott.
Survivors include: two brothers, Roy Plott of Atlanta and Tom Plott and wife Margie of Clayton; a sister, Ruth Penland of Oakwood; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
The body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held graveside at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tiger Cemetery with officiating by Lloyd Hunter.
The family is at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Margie Plott, on Yearling Drive in Clayton.
