Mildred Littleton Rogers, 90, of Dillard, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at her residence, with her family at her side.

Mildred was the daughter of the late Fred S. Littleton Sr. and Lucy Gregory Littleton. She was reared in Macon County, N.C. Affectionately known as “Mickey,” she was the loving wife of Carl N. Rogers for 68 years. Mickey was the Trailways Bus Company agent in Clayton for 30 years, and she also worked alongside her husband all that time at his Allstate Insurance agency. She took pride in her family and her home. She taught Sunday school at Head of Tennessee Baptist Church for many years. After retiring, Mickey and Carl traveled the world, visiting 17 different countries.

Mickey was preceded in death by her parents and two infant children.

She is survived by: her husband; a son, Patrick W. Rogers of Dillard; a brother, Fred Littleton Jr. of Clinton, Ohio; a sister, Patricia Beck of Marianna, Fla.; a grandson, Jason P. Rogers of Mount Vernon, Wash.; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Beck Funeral Home with the Revs. Doug Porter and Jack Beaver officiating. Burial followed at Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery.
