She was born Sept. 12, 1931, in Rabun County to the late Easburn and Alice Robinson Whitworth. She was the widow of William Alfred Taylor. Lelia was a homemaker and served as a caregiver to a lot of people. She was a member of People’s Baptist Church.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Callenback.
Survivors include: two sons, Greg Taylor (Robin) of Tiger and Dean Taylor of Tiger; two daughters, Charlotte Stuart of Tiger and Gail Youngblood (Richard) of Clayton;
a brother, Earl Whitworth of Clarkesville;
three sisters, Lula Carnes of Tiger and Thelma
West and Ellie Henslee, both of Clarkesville;
seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Watts officiating. Burial followed at Rabun Memory Park.
