Judy Lee Carter, 64, of Clayton, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at her residence.

She was born April 23, 1948, in Tiger to the late Bill and Ethel Bradshaw Gibson. She was employed at Clayburne Manufacturing Company for many years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by: a son, James Odell Carter; three brothers, David, Johnny and Leonard Gipson; and a sister, Mildred Gragg.

Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Shannon Carter of Clayton; a brother, Harold Mayro of Atlanta; three sisters, Susie Gragg, Kathy Massengill and Geraldine Hunt, all of Clayton; three grandchildren, Tyler Carter, Austin Carter and Britney Carter; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmie Kilby officiating. Burial followed at Roane Cemetery.
