Mr. Wade died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born Aug. 22, 1931, in Banks County, he was the son of the late Solmon and Ida Belle Dodd Wade. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by grandson, Adam Wade; brothers, Olin, Davidson and James “Jimmy” Wade; and sisters, Annie Lee Teague and Vera McQueen.
Mr. Wade was a former crew leader at Temple-Inland and also a bus monitor for Banks County Schools. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Eloise Parson Wade of Homer; sons, David Wade of Banks County and Danny Wade of Bowman; sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Jean Wade and Derek and Lisa Wade, all of Homer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eva and Marty Wade of Gainesville, Lois and M.L. Grindle of Lula and Velina and Grady White of Gainesville; sisters-in-law, Mary Davidson of Demorest, Irene and Gerald Griggs of Anderson, S.C., Bonnie and Eddie Marchbanks of Clarkesville, Vickie Thomas of Woodstock, Debbie and Walter David of Homer and Mary Parson of Banks County; brothers-in-law, Bud McQueen of Gainesville and Jack Parson of Warner Robins; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
