She was born in Palm Beach County, Fla., to Rhoene Irvin Szember and the late Clarence Szember. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Jack Brown; a daughter, Kelly White; a brother, Roy Szember; and a granddaughter, Carrie Sellers.
Jean retired as a bank manager and worked at Walmart. She was a member of St. Cyprians Church in Franklin.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by: two children, Penny Brown Sellers and husband Rick of Otto, N.C., and Chris Brown and wife Cindy of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Doris Hesse of St. Augustine, Fla.; a brother, Brent Szember of Lantana, Fla.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Macon Funeral Home chapel with officiating by the Rev. Duane Corle. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery in Lakeworth, Fla.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service at the funeral home.
