J.C. Love, 71, of Mountain City, died Monday, June 3, 2013, at Mountain Lakes Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 20, 1941, in Rabun County to Allene Justus Church and the late J.D. Love. He retired from Burlington Industries in the textile industry. He was a former member of the Rabun County Coon Hunters Club. He was a good golfer for many years and a good gardener. He was a member of North Clayton Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Amy Grace Queen Love in 1995; his father, J.D. Love; and a brother, Robert A. Love.

Survivors include: his mother, Allene Justus Church of Tiger; two sons, Jim Love of Tiger and L.C. Love of Mountain City; four daughters, Debbie Million and Christine Love, both of Clayton, Tammy Garrison (Joe) of Mountain City and Becky Blalock (Eric) of Tiger; a sister, Beverly Love Crowe of Johns Creek; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces and cousins; and a special friend, Sam Purdy of Mountain City.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the new chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe McCrackin. Burial will follow at Blue Heights Cemetery.
