Gordon Lewis Anderson, 68, of Clayton, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. He was the husband of Mildred Anderson.

He was born June 20, 1944, in Bulloch to the late Gordon P. and Hazel F. Youmans Anderson. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was retired from the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. He was a member of Clayton Baptist Church.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Mildred Anderson of Clayton; two daughters, Lynna and Kellie Jones, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother, Randy Anderson of Statesboro; two grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

The body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Clayton Baptist Church with officiating by the Rev. Joey Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clayton Baptist Church, 87 S. Church St., Clayton, GA 30525; to Rabun Paws 4 Life, 261 Boen Creek Road, Tiger, GA 30576; or to the charity of one's choice.
