Deborah Ann Payne Rogers, 54, of Clayton, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at her residence. She was the wife of Harold H. Rogers.

She was born March 12, 1958, in Franklin, N.C., to Martha Payne of Clayton. She was employed for a time with Empire Manufacturing Company in the textile industry and was a member of Clayton Baptist Church.

She is survived by: her husband, Harold H. Rogers of Clayton; her mother, Martha Payne Gibson of Clayton; daughters, Susan Kelly of Clayton, Kristie Williams of Six Mile, S.C., Melissa Torres of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Kristina Shook of Jefferson and Jamie Shook of Tiger; a stepdaughter, Sabrina Bowers of Franklin; a brother, Michael Payne of Clayton; three sisters, Kathy Baxley of Lexington, N.C., Paula Vandigriff of Clayton and Angie Reese of Rabun Gap; and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home with officiating by the Rev. Michael Rogers. Burial followed at Roane Cemetery.
