• Dr. L.G. Hicks Jr., 86, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. Funeral services were held Sept. 28 at Clarkesville Baptist Church. Burial followed at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
• Harold A. Gosnell, 79, of Clarkesville, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services were held Saturday at Unity Baptist Church with the Revs. Wesley Purcell and Marty Kilby officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
• Alice Elizabeth Rush Jones, 81, of Demorest, died Friday, Sept. 30, at Habersham Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Russ Barker and Ralph Story officiating. Burial followed at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
