Dane Lewis Hasslock, husband of Kyra Koprowski Hasslock of Charleston, S.C., passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011.

Dane was born May 20, 1977, in Atlanta to Kimberly and Gregory Willis and William Hasslock. He was a dean’s list student at Trident Technical College in Charleston. Dane was smitten with his 2-year-old and loved every moment of his time with her. He enjoyed falling off his skateboard, riding fast motorcycles, photography and finding obscure music to listen to.

Survivors include: his wife, Kyra Hasslock and their daughter, Anya Maria “Ria” Hasslock of Charleston; his parents, Kimberly and Gregory Willis of Clayton and William Hasslock of Florida; maternal grandmother, Joan Hawthorne of Clayton; maternal grandfather, David Hawthorne of Arizona; two brothers, Eric Hasslock of Atlanta and Justin Willis of Clayton; a sister-in-law, Anabelle Vilongne of Atlanta; an uncle, Phillip Hawthorne; an aunt, Alisa Hawthorne; a cousin, Randall Hotaling of Wisconsin; and two nieces and a nephew, Marissa Vilongne, Sophie Willis and Evan Willis.

Family and friends of Dane and Kyra gathered together to celebrate his life Monday at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel in Charleston.
