We the Grand Jury, would like to express our appreciation to Clerk of Superior Court, Holly Henry-Perry, District Attorney, Brian Rickman and Assistant District Attorney, Maggie Hastings for their guidance, patience, instruction and for allowing us to serve on the January 2012 Term for Grand Jury. We submit the following recommendations to the Rabun County Board of Commissioners: On the January 4, 2012 surprise visit to the Rabun County Jail, we found the facility to be clean and in good order. We were impressed with the staff and their attitude toward inmates being innocent until proven guilty. There is a great need for a Wheelchair. Workers have to use a chair to transport inmates who are sick or are limited in walking ability. Also a proper storage facility is needed for paperwork. A room or building just for paperwork was suggested. On a visit to the Rabun Business Park the recommendation was for signage. The park is invisible to any who doesn’t just happen upon it. We feel there should be a sign on 441 announcing the presence of the park. Again thank you for allowing us to serve.

GRAND JURY RECOMMENDATION

Secretary: Rhonda Williams

Bailiff: Jim Ceronsky

Grand Jury Members:

Suzette M. Binnie,Michael A. Lee, Carmen L. Brooks, Christine E. Festa, John W. Curtis, Kathleen Keller, Horace A. Gibson Charles D. Courtoy, Cynthia Freeman, Robin K. Moseley, Mary Ann Littrell, Joshua L.Kilby, Jo Anne T. Pledger, Jason Q. Roach, Pauline M. Kreiner, Salllye H. Anderson, Betty J. Deal,Nawana I. York, Shannon T. Bleckley
