She was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Westmoreland County, Pa., to the late Anthony and Mary Tomecko Gustas. She had lived most of her life in Buffalo, N.Y. She was a seamstress, working in the effort of supplying the military during World War II. She was a member of the Rabun County Homemakers Club, the senior center and a lifelong bingo player. She was a member of our Lady of Victory Basilica Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Maryanne Kozak; and by seven brothers, Clarence, Gus, John, Richard, Paul, Ronald and Thomas Gustas; and a sister, Betty Pierscinski.
Survivors include: two daughters, Brenda Mason and companion Daniel A. Brown of Dillard and Liz Williams and husband Rick Green of Clayton; a sister, Mary Pankow of Florida; four grandchildren, T.J. and Diane Kozak of Anchorage, Alaska, and Heather and Magnus Lunquest of Hamburg, N.Y.; three great-grandchildren, Mariska, Noelle and Alex; and a son- in-law, Tom Kozak of Hamburg, N.Y.
Her body has been cremated, and no service is planned at this time.
