Amanda was born in Seneca, S.C., to Ronald Gene Ramey and Carla English Ramey of Clayton. Amanda was a loving, caring, smiling person who befriended anyone who met her. She graduated from high school in 1996 and then attended North Georgia Technical College, where she studied computer networking and photography. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ Kingdom Hall in Mountain City.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandfather, Babe Ramey, and grandparents Amy Sue Welborn Hamilton and Ray Green English.
In addition to her parents, Amanda is survived by: her husband, Nathan Geisler of Sylva and his family; a son who was the light of Amanda’s life, Caleb Ronald Ramey of Clayton; a sister, Sharla Wood Butler of Greeneville, Tenn.; a grandmother, Joyce Ramey of Clayton; and many special aunts and uncles and extended family.
The family will have a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall, 176 Shepherd St. in Mountain City.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Amanda Ramey Geisler Fund, in care of Community Bank & Trust, 174 Highway 441 N., Clayton, GA 30525.
