Alvin Wayne Holt passed from this life to his heavenly home on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.

He was born Feb. 24, 1966, in Rabun County. Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved nature, but most of all his family. He put up a courageous fight for the last 15 years, but it was not in our Lord’s plan for him to fight any longer.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Wesley Holt.

Wayne is survived by: his mother, Arizona Holt; his son, Michael Holt; his brothers Rondal, Aaron and Shayne; his sisters, Brenda, Jean and Kathy; his wife, Jolena Holt; and three stepchildren, Joey, Whitney and Courtney.

A memorial service for friends and family to honor his life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the residence of Arizona Holt, 50 W. Pinecrest Drive in Clayton. Wayne has requested that his ashes be spread at his favorite hunting spot on a later date. Should friends and family desire, any expression of their sympathy may be sent to Arizona Holt.
