Description:
Smithall Woods State Park in Helen is offering tours to introduce visitors to the beauty and opportunities from 2-3:30 p.m. Sundays. Tours begin at the visitors center, where participants can see the Discovery Room, native gardens and a resident red-tailed hawk. The introduction is followed by a van tour to the covered bridge, Dukes Creek and the cottage area. There is no charge, but parking costs $5. To register or for more information, call 706-878-3087.
